Coffee-Shops
When you walk around the center you can clearly smell the sweet scents from the many coffee shops, where you can also enjoy a coffee also buy and smoke canabis.
We visited various coffee shops while we were there-I was content with the black coffee. The Bulldog, which was the first coffee shop to open back in 1975. The coffee shops have a cozy and relaxed atmosphere and is a favorite goal for tourists who would like a crooked experience, but you can easily like me, visit a coffee shop without smoking.
The Bulldog has gradually become an empire of coffee-shops that you find several places in Amsterdam, but the original Coffee-Shop and the one we visited is located on Oudezijd’s Voorburgwal 90.

Prostitution
Among the beautiful houses and channels in the Red Light District, you will find one of Amsterdam’s more controversial sights – the window brothels. Here are more or less lightly dressed women behind illuminated glass doors and try to lure you inside. Both my boyfriend and I thought it was tremendously cross -border to see the women sitting there behind a glass door while just strolling by with curious glances.
Amsterdam has several museums that give a better insight into the history of prostitution. Yes, you can actually go on a tour with one of the prostitutes, not something we tried, but if you want to know more about this controversial it of Amsterdam, it is a unique opportunity to gain insight into an otherwise closed world.
Sex Museum
On the other hand, we visited the equally controversial sex museum Amsterdam, which is located on the famous main street Damrak. The museum’s exhibition is a mixture of erotic images, paintings, figures and other effects that illustrate the sex life from early Greece to today.
The museum is mostly just a huge collection of objects and photos, and has a very small focus on the historical aspect. But compared to the price of 5 euros, it is an excellent visit, and a sometimes cross -border experience you forget late.
