Afternoon Tea in Liverpool

STORBRITANNIEN
When we visited Liverpool last month, we ate (of course) Afternoon Tea. Not just once, but two days in a row. I am a huge fan of the English Afternoon Tea tradition, which I think is so nice. I have previously tried afternoon tea in London atThe Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel.

This time I finally managed to lure my boyfriend. I had found from home some places that I really wanted to visit and both of which lay within a reasonable budget.

Afternoon Punk Tea at The Baltic Social

During my research for places to get Afternoon Tea in Liverpool, I support at the Afternoon Punk Tea concept at the pub The Baltic Social. As you’ve probably figured out, it’s not the traditional afternoon tea that they serve here. On the other hand, you can put your teeth in pulled pork and cheeseburger sliders, cheese corn though, pom -fries, sausage roll, chicken wings and many other delights served on real afternoon tea manners – namely on 3 layers of storey. The best thing about this experience was that instead of tea, you got drinks that were served in teapots. And certainly not saved on the amount of booze.

Remember to pre -order if you want to try afternoon punk tea. We had not ordered from home, but we were so lucky that there were some others who had ordered, and fortunately the kitchen had enough that we could get too.

Price:ÂŁ 22.95 per person and a deposit must be paid when ordering.

Panoramic 34

The next day we tried the more traditional edition of Afternoon Tea, at Panoramic 34, which is housed in Liverpool’s tallest building West Tower.

We had booked a table until 1 p.m. 12.00, which meant we had the table until 7 p.m. 14.00. We had got a table all the way by the window and overlooking the Mersey River and the whole port area. Despite the fact that the rain was pouring outside, it was still great to sit and look out over the city.

You can choose between them ordinary afternoon tea and luxury afternoon tea. We chose the last one, and besides the traditional as scones with clotted cream and jam, small fingerandwich and delicate pastry cakes, we got drinks and appetizers.

It is a very well -attended place, and especially this weekend there is a fight for the seats. So remember to book a table well in advance from home. Also remember to be aware that the place has a rather strict dress code. not allowed to meet up in sneakers and they are quite consistent of rejecting people.

Price:ÂŁ 33 per person for the luxury edition and ÂŁ 22 per person for the ordinary.
